Your Data, Your Device
Core Principle
PruvYou is a personal habit and project tracking app. We are deeply committed to your privacy. This policy explains clearly what data we collect, how we use it, and — more importantly — what we never do with it.
All your habits, tasks, notes, and project data are stored exclusively on your device. We do not operate any servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure that holds your personal data.
What PruvYou Does
App Features
PruvYou helps you track daily and weekly habits, manage personal projects, log time, and stay consistent with your goals. The app includes:

Data Stored Locally
On Your Device Only
The following information is saved in your device's local storage (AsyncStorage) and never leaves your device unless you explicitly export a backup:
- Habit names, icons, categories, schedules, and completion logs
- Project names, time logs, tasks, and notes
- Quick tasks and ad-hoc to-do items
- Daily reminder time preference
- App settings and preferences
Google Drive Backup
Optional Feature
PruvYou offers an optional Google Drive backup feature. If you choose to connect your Google account:
- You authenticate directly with Google via OAuth 2.0 — we never see your Google password
- PruvYou only requests the
drive.filescope — access limited strictly to files created by PruvYou itself - Your backup file (
pruvyou_backup.json) is stored in your personal Drive — only you can access it - We cannot read, modify, or delete any other files in your Google Drive
- You can disconnect Google Drive at any time from the Settings screen
The Google Drive connection is entirely optional. The app is fully functional without it.
No Tracking. No Analytics.
What We Never Do
PruvYou contains absolutely no third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking libraries. We do not:
- Collect analytics or usage statistics
- Display advertisements or share data with advertisers
- Track your location
- Access your contacts, camera, microphone, or photos
- Share any data with third parties (other than Google Drive, if you opt in)
- Sell your data — ever
Notifications
Local Only
If you enable the daily reminder, PruvYou will request permission to send local push notifications. These notifications are:
- Scheduled entirely on your device — no server involved
- Limited to one daily reminder at a time of your choice
- Fully controllable — you can disable them at any time in Settings or your device's notification settings
